Name:
Dyah Fatma (just for a clue, it means Princess of Lotus)
Nickname:
Padmae, Fatma, and various nicknames on the net such as my pen-name
dark wings or raat ke rani or secret_folder ... anything I like
to use... ^__^
Residence:
Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
Birth:
Solo, 7.10. XXXX (hey, asking a woman's age is impolite, mind you?!)
Height/weight:
159.5 cm (that's 5'3")/48 - 52 kg
Occupation:
silently walking to the end of my undergraduate year....
Hobbies:
yay! Let's just put it this way, I have lots of hobbies. I
love collecting things... I collect stamps (but I don't think I'm
that kind of philatelist freak), and postcards as well, especially
free ones (hey, I don't go to Aquarius Dago merely to check if there's
any interesting album for sale) ... What else? I have some collection
of Coca Cola Company bottle caps... Have you noticed that they changed
design sometimes? I find them rather cute. I, off course, love music
though I don't play any instrument... I join choir and I really
love to sing! .... I love reading and to tell you the truth, I have
more novels than study books. Heheheh.... ^__^ I read almost anything
my hand can reach. You can expect me to read every single flyers
down to the smallest letters when I have nothing better to do. You'll
see the details later.... I love twiddling with my computer, browsing
on the net.... I love meeting new people (but I restrict myself
only to those who approach me nicely and politely and off course
to those who catch my attention)..... I love writing too... I write
many things from silly dry humor down to teary angst. I write poems
sometimes... well, only when I'm a bit too emotional, actually.....
Mmmmm... I love watching anime and movies. I love to dream... I
love meeting my friends and go out together, either just to sit
at Ciburial Curhat Point to watch city light or having something
to eat... or play pools.... When I'm alone I can be found gazing
at big trees anywhere. Call me stupid, but I can look at them for
hours! Yea... that's my hobby.

Musicians : There are so many bands/musicians I regard as
my favourite but here are the most loved ones; Valensia (just too
bad that his album is VERY hard to find in this world except in
Japan and Korea), Valentine, Helloween (and also former and recent
members' project - well except of Markus' because I haven't heard
of it, so I can't judge whether I like it or not), Edguy (yes, and
Tobias Sammet's solo project is awesome too), Angra, Shaman, Dream
Theater, Guns N' Roses (well, only until they splitted... I just
lost interest after Axl's total reign), Rhapsody (and I also like
Luca Turilli's solo project), Warrant (I think their songs are cool,
Jani Lane is a good songwriter), Nelson (good duo, and twins too)...
I also listen to Vanessa Mae, any spanish guitar players, Yani...
Pat Matheney (I just found out about him!)... as for a different
taste of mine, I listen also to Babylon Zoo (you know, the Spaceman
guy), Guys Next Door (good childhood memories), Indecent Obsession
(great beat, great lyrics)... and I also love Kate Bush, Nightwish,
and Within Temptation... .I like J-Rock as well and listen most
to L'Arc~en~Ciel, Luna Sea, and Gackt... Lucifer and Glay are OK
too.... ^__^
The
Dream Band:
OK, this crazy but it came to me in one of my muses.... this is
the dream band I would really like to see... vocals: Andre
Matos (Shaman) with Valensia as the background/harmony vocal, the
guitarists would definitely be Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and
John Petrucci (Dream Theater). Keys would be either Jordan Rudess
(Dream Theater) or Robby Valentine. For drums I'd like to
see Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater).... and for bass player
I'd like to see Tet-chan (L'Arc~en~Ciel) ... weird, isn't it, but
his way of playing is rather cute... or maybe Carl Caden-James (Shadow
Gallery), he's a flute player too.... The song arrangers
would be a collaboration among Carl Caden-James, Arjen Lucassen
and Valensia.What a band!! Unfortunately I don't think it's gonna
happen although they have this weird link of acquintance somehow...

Food : sandwiches, fried chicken (from the traditional one
to those franchise fried chicken), macaroni, lamb and chicken satay
(you must try Satay Ambal, it's with tempe sauce), thengkleng (a
kind of curry made from mutton ribs and other parts of a goat you'd
rather not know when you eat it - my friends say that it's barbaric
and cannot be regarded as food, but I really like it, believe me,
it's a very popular dish in my hometown), soto (from some certain
restaurants in my hometown Solo and another one in Yogya), crepes,
lumpia, etc, etc, etc... I LOVE food!!!

Drink: fruit juice, chocolate and vanilla milkshake, coffee
with cream, yoghurt (plain or lychee), ice cream (chocolate, vanilla,
or caramel), avocado with coconut, soft drinks, Indian tea milk,
soft drinks....

Novels/Books : I read anything my hand can reach. Anything
that can hold my eyes open when I read them (in other word: not
boring stuffs!). My most favorite book up until now is "Madogiwa
no Toto-chan" by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. I tend to read
those based on true story.... I really love "Princess"
by Jean P Sasson, I wish I can do more than just reading the story.
Other similar books I like are "Sold for Silver"
by Janet Lim and "The Lily Theater" by
Lulu Wang (I haven't finished it yet, but it's very curious)...
mmm, does Pramoedya Ananta Toer's "The Buru Tetralogy"
can be grouped as this? ... I read fairy tales. I love J R R Tolkien's
work. Most favorite is definitely those Middle Earth sagas; the
best one, I think, is the first book of Lord of the Rings
(though my most fave character is recently Faramir who'd not appear
until book 3 - the history of Thranduillion/Oropherion is also interesting
though - you know who I refer to, right? *drools at images of Orlando
Bloom version of Legolas*) ... but I also find "Smith
of Wooton Major" very suitable for my taste. I also
read tales of Narnia by C S Lewis... and I prefer
"Artemis Fowl" serie by Eoin Colfer to
recent fantasy/adventure tales because of Mr.Colfer's way of deconstructing
the fairy concept.... I read sf too... but not really a big fan
of it.... For Indonesian recent authors I can say I really like
"Saman" by Ayu Utami and the first "Supernova"
by Dee, I just found out that "Jangan Main-main (dengan
alat kelaminmu)" - a compilation of short stories
by Djenar Maesa Ayu - is very nicely written, especially the short
story called "Menyusu Ayah" (Suckling Father)...
I also like "Student Hijo" by
Marco Martodikromo. I love stories from the Dutch colonial era...
I read also Indonesian classic like "Layar Terkembang"
and stuff... I read Dutch/Holland Indisch writers as well... I really
love "Faded Portraits" (Vergeelde
Portretten uit een Indisch Familiealbum) by E Breton de
Nijs (the pseudonym of Rob Nieuwenhuys) - felt like I was inside
the story. Other than novels I read things about history, archaeology,
mythology, and bits of art here and there. My fave non-fiction books
are "Semerbak Bunga di Kota Bandung"
and "Wajah Bandung Tempo Doeloe" by Haryoto
Kunto and also books by Anthonny de Mello, SJ......Ah well, I hate
second hand translation... so I always try to seek at least an English
version for non-English and non-Indonesian works..... If I could,
I want to read every book in its original language .... but that
would mean I have to master all languages in the world..... ^__^

Manga : "Alexandrite" by Minako
Narita (I wanna read Chipper too, but then I'd have to buy them
at Kinokuniya?? Where can I find money for that? Beside my Jap proficiency
is not really that good) and "Sabath Cafe"
by Emiko Yachi and "The Duck of Mr. Fredward"
by ... ?? I don't remember.... and "Kaine"
by Kaori Yuki ... forgive myself but I must say that due to its
temptation, I read lots of yaoi *glares at Quincey and Moussy* though
I only love those with nice plots (I hate pwp!! They don't make
sense at all!!!).....
Fave
European Comics: Gaston La Gaffe by Franquin,
Tintin by Herge, Julie - Klartje - Cecile
(I forget the author), and Cedric.
Fave
Movies : Life is Beautiful, The Sound of Music, The Cup,
Highlander I, Braveheart, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease, Center
Stage (I'm always fond of dancing stuff).... Rock Star (oh yes,
this movie really brings back old good memories of the mid-80's
and early-90's that I love... Long live Rock n' Roll!!!!).... I
also like to watch festival films... but sometimes I just don't
really get what's the point .... What kind of movies that I despise??
That would be horror movies and especially thriller movies about
serial killers or psycopaths.... I don't watch a movie to depress
myself!!!
Fave
Anime : Weiß Kreuz would be the first one.... X both movie
and the serie, Yami no Matsuei, Gravitation.......
Fave
Actor and Actress:Mel Gibson, Keanu Reeves (yes, I think
they're good actors and not only emerging out of their looks)....
actress... well I must say Jodie Foster.
Fave
TV Series: Here are my favorite TV shows despite that I
don't really follow them; Broklyn South, ER, Highlander (only the
early seasons), MacGyver (hey, old time's favourite), Boston Common,
Hardball, Young Riders (I guess the only TV series that I followed
completely), 21 Jump Street (I remember that I was crazy on this)...
What else? Nasty Boys, Robin Hood (the one in the 2nd season was
played by Jason Connery), Level 9, Covington Cross..... I also liked
After School Special, X-Files (the early series).
Fave
Colors : in most cases I'd say blue, or turquoise blue...
or sky blue, but I feel comfortable to wear red too (as long as
it's not too bright), actually I've got a lot of things in red...
green is also nice, as long as it's not spot-light green. I like
natural colors, "mature colors" like for example vandyke
brown or washed off olive green. I like pastel colors too... well,
actually, just whatever suits my mood!
