Not many people knows about this talented musician. Even people thought that he was just a figure generated by computers and technology when he first appeared. But no! Valensia is real, flesh and blood! Born as Aldous Byron Valencia Clarkson in Den Haag, The Netherland on April 13, 1971, his parents noticed his musical talent at his early age. He has performed shows on the beach since he was 4 and got an offer for a record deal when he was only 8 years old. Fortunately (or unfortunately) his parents didn't let him go for the record because they thought he was too young for the whole music business. He is from a musical family, his aunt is a well-known violin player, Emmy Verhey, and his brother David often help him playing in his albums. His first debut, a self titled album, made a hit in The Netherland and Japan with the single Gaia. The rest is history. What I really like about his music is that he has a very interesting way of writing lyrics. I don't know how to describe it. Some are ... uh, undescribable like in Love Me some are very touching like Blue Rain.... And his language is somewhat a mix of everything (as I've seen, he uses a lot of Spanish and French aside from English). His music is a mix of Queen, Beatles, Reggeae, House Music, Classic, folk... I guess you can get many things there. |
